Nissan Announces Impressive May Sales Figures

Nissan recently revealed its sales figures for the month of May, and the results were strong. The automaker set a May record in total U.S. sales, increasing 18.8 percent year-over-year for a total of 135,934 units.

Several different Nissan models posted strong sales during May, contributing to the sales growth and the record. It was the best month ever for the Nissan LEAF, which sold 3,117 units for a year-over-year jump of 45.8 percent.

The Nissan Altima, Nissan Sentra and Nissan Rogue all set May records, for year-over-year increases of 12.9 percent, 75.4 percent and 8 percent respectively. The Nissan Versa and Nissan Juke also set records for the month, increasing by 30.5 percent and 33.4 percent year-over-year.
