Annapurna trekking - an amazing adventure

Many tourists visit Nepal each year to admire its extraordinary nature and the beauty of the Himalayas.

The peaks of this mountain range are visible to visitors from October to April, even without moving from Kathmandu. However, everyone wants to truly experience the Himalayas up close. What trekking routes are available for visitors in Nepal? Which ones are recommended?

The trekking trail around the Annapurna mountain range

One of the most popular and most beautiful trekking routes in Nepal is the route around the eight-thousand-metre Annapurna. Completing the Annapurna trek takes an average of 13 to 20 days, depending on the plan of the trip and the experience of the group.

The Annapurna trail is known for its wide variety of vegetation and landscapes, changing with the climate. You will be able to marvel the region’s rice fields, bamboo forests and the subtropical valley of the Marsyandi River, as well as the Tibetan deserts of the northern side of the Himalayas. Moreover, you can visit small, charming villages, where you can learn about the culture, history and cuisine of the region. Meetings with friendly inhabitants of mountain villages result in a deeper understanding of their culture, customs and traditions.

The trail around the Annapurna massif is one of the oldest and the most beautiful routes that once was an important trade route.

What other trekking routes are recommended in the Himalayas?

Annapurna is by far the most popular choice when it comes to trekking routes in the Himalayas. Every tourist should definitely see what it has to offer. If you are looking for additional routes, you can choose from among several popular and beautiful routes.

One of them is the trail in the Mustang region. Until recently, foreigners did not have access here, but today, for a fee, you can admire the beautiful views and get the highest point, i.e. the Mui La Pass (4,170 m above sea level).
