The new Eucerin range tackles all aspects of hypersensitive skin.
Optimizing the Skin's Self-Protection
Eucerin UltraSENSITIVE especially soothes hypersensitive facial skin with symptoms such as stinging and burning. The products include the active ingredient SymSitive, that instantly calms hyperreactions of the skin. As a result, the innovative formulation increases the skin’s sensitivity tolerance, providing instant, long-lasting relief from the unpleasant skin feeling. When used regularly over a period of time, the products optimize the skin’s self-protection and even strengthen the skin against intolerances and hyperreactions.
Eucerin AntiREDNESS is formulated for patients that suffer from hypersensitive skin and at the same time from reddened, i.e. rosacea and couperose-prone skin. “In addition to the regulating ingredient SymSitive, Eucerin AntiREDNESS includes Licochalcone A, an active component of Glycyrrhiza Inflata root extract that effectively reduces redness and calms inflammations,” explained Dr. Gitta Neufang. Alongside its two active ingredients, the complementary Eucerin AntiREDNESS Concealing Day Care cream contains green pigments – for instantly covering reddened skin.
An Innovative Way of Calming Hypersensitive Skin
In order to minimize stress on hypersensitive skin and the risk of intolerances, the effective formulas are free of perfumes, preservatives, parabens, paraffins and alcohol, and, except for the AntiREDNESS Concealing Day Care, also free of colorants and emulsifier. “In order to protect the formulas from contamination and oxidation, we use a special “air-free” packaging. Among others, it consists of airless dispensers with a self-closing actuator that enable a pure and effective care for hypersensitive skin,” she added.
At the German press conference Dr. Andrea Schölermann, Clinical Advisor Eucerin, talked about nerve fibres in the skin.
At the German press conference in May, 47 journalists of women's magazines gained deeper insights into hypersensitive skin and its correlation with our nervous system. Furthermore they were shown what the new treatment for sensitive skin in the Eucerin Haut Institut includes. "The high number of participants shows the increasing relevance of the topic of hypersensitive skin, its causes and treatment methods. In recent years, my team has been studying sensitive skin intensely and has identified significant differences to normal skin,” explained Dr. Gitta Neufang. Clinical studies impressively confirm the soothing effect of Eucerin UltraSENSITIVE with SymSitive. "We have tested a number of active substances and SymSitive was clearly superior.”
